Ashanti Shequoiya, better called Ashanti, is an incredibly popular American singer and actress. She is a singer and actress from the United States. Ashanti was first discovered when she was a teenager and eventually signing with Murder Inc. Records in 2002. The same year, she was featured in Fat Joe's What's Luv? The Fat Joe's What's Luv and Foolish? Her songs Foolish (number number one) and the track What's Luv! We'll help you commemorate the day of her life right here. Let's celebrate the special occasion with us. Ashanti Douglas or Ashanti as she's more often referred to was born in Glen Cove New York in 1980. Tina Douglas her mother is an instructor in dance and Ken-Kaide Thomas Douglas, her father is a former vocalist. The younger Kenashia is Tia Douglas. Douglas was given the name Ashanti to honor the Ashanti Empire in which women had control and power. Douglas hoped Ashanti would follow in the footsteps of the Ashanti Empire. James who was Ashanti's father was a civil rights activist alongside Martin Luther King Jr. during the 1960s. Ashanti's mum discovered Ashanti's talent when she heard her sing Mary J. Blige's "Reminisce.. Ashanti was an extra in Spike Lee's Malcolm X in 1992, and Ted Demme's Who's the Man? She also appeared in several music videos including K.R.S. Act One's MCs Don't They Know or 8-Off Ghetto Girls. After being approached by several record labels like Bad Boy and Jive Ashanti had a difficult time gaining success as a vocalist. In spite of this her persistence, she continued to perform at New York. Then, she was at Murder Inc. Studios hoping to make it big. Ashanti originally appeared on the track of Big Pun's We Roll as a backing singer. Additionally, she was featured in the song by Fat Joe "What's Luv?" Ja Rule's always on time and Fat Jojo's What's Luv also featured her. She sampled DeBarge's 1983 single Stay With Me on her debut single Foolish. Ashanti has released her debut album, entitled "Ashanti", in 2002 under Irv Getti's Murder Inc. Record Label. The Declaration was Ashanti's fourth studio album, which was released on 3 June 2008. Hey Baby, After the Club (released both on radio and digital formats) was released on October 16, 2008. Also, she was in films Christmas in the City, Army Wives and Latasha Monteclair. Aitch performs her Rock wit U song for Baby 10 March 2022.
