Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman, Distinguished Professor of psychology and Director of Center for Public Policy Research is at University of California Davis. She is widely credited with beginning the current scientific study of children's memories of eyewitnesses and children's victims as witnesses in legal circumstances. Professor Goodman has published extensively she has received grants from numerous sources and has been awarded several international and national awards. She has advised a variety of government agencies and governments around the world about policies as well as research related to child victims of the law by the system. She is consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) of the Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a member of numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children as a founding member, International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman has served as president of American Psychological Association's Developmental Psychology Division, as well as three Divisions: Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
