Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. Her most famous role was that of Skyler on the AMC drama Breaking Bad. She won the Primetime Emmy Awards in 2013 and 2014 for Outstanding Leading Performance by a Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting during her time at Preparatory School. In the late 1970s, the family moved to Ohio. She attended the British American Drama Academy and was a theatre student in the theatre department at Northwestern University. Anna worked in the theatre in the Chicago area for a few years, before attempting her hand at television and films. Anna received her breakthrough in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden in 29 episodes of Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest Actor in a variety of TV Shows and movies, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue during the 90's She was then cast as Jean Ward as part of The Practice. In 2000, she was given the role of Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler played her part as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad. Sully was another of her characters. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production that was directed by David Schwimmer. In 2022, Gunn also participated in an audio-play podcast known as "Numbered days". The romance that exists between Walter White and his wife Skyler is the most prominent element of the story on Breaking Bad with the strained connection between them and eventually its demise similar to the arc that was Walter White's final days of his life.
